Calendar Tools App Reviews

Dont Buy

While I did receive some support from the site I never received the full app. There was no settings page allowing me to search , find, remove the duplicate events. It was useless. Definitely not worth the price. Dont buy until they fix it.

Great App

This app works great on handling appointments especially setting recurrence. But it is a little pricey. So I give it a 4 star.

Did not get what I over payed for

I paid the full price. All I wanted was an app that removed duplicate calendar events the app does not have that option. In my opinion that is false advertising. Waste of money!!!

Bad investment

1. The program does not work well at all. 2. The alerts do not work consistently, sometimes no notification at all. 3. The program crashes frequently in the middle of making an event. 4. The support is really really really bad, they send a standard pic from there web site on how to use the program that is very vague and does not address your issue. 5. At the price they are asking there should be no bugs and have atleast half descent support. 6. No help file or troubleshooting area on the web site. I am writing this review because I have had nothing but problems with this program from day one. I have contacted support several times with no satisfaction. Also this program does not work within the calendar you have to use it seperatly. I feel very ripped off. Buyer beware, in my opinion.

Does not make recurrance

This program claimed to fix the bug of having an oddball recurrence (like wanting a task to happen every 3 weeks). Well the plan was easy enough to follow but the task would disappear on the calendar once it was edited. Very frustrating. If anyone can tell me what Im doing wrong, please let me know.

Crashes on iPad

Fails to load correctly on iPad.

Great!

On my iPad, finally I can set repeating events to 1st Tuesday every month.

Thank You!

I really like this app. It does just what I need. I can now easily set up birthday or anniversary alerts on the iPhone. Choose an anniversary from address book and create two alerts. The first is one week before. It is time for me to prepare gifts. The second is on the date of this anniversary. I will never miss a birthday or anniversary again.

No good, dont waste your $

This app is not useful. Does not do what it says. No guide at website. Does not work with iPad calendar. Wish I could get a refund

Time Saver

I have been using my mac to setup custom repeat rules and then sync to my iPad. With this tools, I can do it on my iPad. It becomes more convenient to use the native calendar.

Good, but

I like that I can setup reoccurring events. However, I thought that the custom alarm setting controlled the ringer sound. It does not. Wish there was this function to have different alarms.

Love it!

Initially I thought it didnt do as stated (customized repeat feature) But in less then 30 seconds I figured it out. Love the the fact that it works with the iPad calendar and alarm. As soon as I opened it all my appointments appeared.

Love this program

I migrated from a Compaq iPAQ 2200 series to an iPOD Touch as a PDA and handheld computer. The calendar and a PPC program called Calendar + allowed me to do complex repeats (e.g. 3rd Thursday of each month). When I got to the iPODs calendar and found that I couldnt do that I was really disappointed. Enter Calendar Tools. It does everything I could do on the iPAQ. The author(s) say that this is an add-on to the native calendar app. Im glad of this; I find the views in the native app better than the views in Calendar Tools. Just my taste there. I also like that I can switch back and forth between them for certain kinds of tasks and know that my data will be accessable in both. Beyond the possibility of complex recurrences, there is another function that I love in Calendar Tools: I can look up appointments alphabetically. If I know that I shceduled a meeting with John Smith but cant remember the date, I can look up "John Smith meeting." That was something I couldnt do before. The most confusing thing I found was in setting up a complex recurrence: when the event is initially set, you are given the choice of somekind of simple recurrence or no recurrence. You need to choose somekind of simple recurrence, finish the event and then choose that event, tap on the box on the upper right of the main screen screen and edit the recurrence to a custom recurrence. It took me about 15 minutes to figure that one out. That being said, the learning curve isnt that steep and the functionality is worth it. I heartily reccomend this app.

Good App

But it is missing 2 features that I should think are rather obvious. 1) Custom recurrences cannot recur annually. So you cant set up an event like a holiday that happens on the same day of the week every year, like say, Easter or Presidents Day. Luckily the app "US Holidays - Add them all to your Calendar" will do just that for you automatically, as well as having options for religious holidays too. 2) You can delete individual occurrences of events, but you cannot delete an event and just tell it to delete all future occurrences as well. Luckily Week View Express can do that, and its free. The above functions were really te reasons I bought this app. It seemed certain that it would do both of those things, but it does not. Its great I suppose if you have a problem with duplicate events or you need to set up weird recurrences that are weekly or monthly. But I dont, so those other 2 apps I mentioned worked far better for me at a fraction of the cost.

Poor App

This app does not do what it claims. It changes dates of your appointments and puts them into your calendar at what appears to be random places.

Wow!

Great add-on. I can handle recurring events easily now.

Brilliant App

This is exactly what I’ve wanted. It fixes many shortcomings of iCal. Thanks very much.

Excellent add-on to my iPhone calendar.

It allows to schedule multiple alarms for appointments.

Limited

App does let you custom create repeating events but will not give you access to all events as it claims. The app only gives you access to events of the current month which is very limiting.

Dont Buy
